PURPOSE:To prepare a cold retaining eye bandage having an excellent touch and cool feel by packing a cold retaining agent prepd. by mixing one or >=2 kinds of salts selected from inorg. salts which generate heat absorption at the time of dissolving in water with water into a band-shaped bag body covering the entire part of the eye parts. CONSTITUTION:The cold retaining agent 2 prepd. by mixing the inorg. salts which generate heat absorption at the time of dissolving in water, i.e., a mixture composed of sodium phosphate salts or their hydrates, ammonium hydrogen phosphate salts or ammonium phosphate salts or their hydrates and the water into the bag body 1 consisting of a rectangular band-shaped non-water permeable film covering the entire part of both eyes. The bag body 1 is provided with ribbon-like fastening cords 3 at its both ends. This heat retaining eye bandage is kept preserved in an atm. of a low temp. (10 to 20 deg.C) so as to be ready for use. The crystals of the cold retaining agent are gradually dissolved by the body temp. and, on the other hand, the heat absorption is accordingly generated when the cold retaining eye bandage is worn at the time of use and, therefore, the temp. rise is suppressed and the eye bandage is capable of exhibiting a comfortable cool feel over a long period of time. |
