PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic material having the improved magnetic characteristics of the main phase and excellent heat stability by a method wherein the phase having TbCu7 type crystal structure is used as the main phase, and one or more kinds of penetration type elements selected from H, N, C and P are contained in the composition of the magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic material is indicated by a general formula of R1xR2yAzCouFe100-u-y--z (R1 is a kind of element selected from rare-earth element containing Y, R2 is the element of a kind selected from the group of Zr, Hf and Sc, A is the element of a kind selected from H, N, C and P, x, y, z and u indicate in atom % of 2<=x, 0<=y, 4<=x+y<=20 and 0.01<=z<=20, 0<=u), and the main phase has a TbCu7 type crystal structure, and the cubic volume of the unit cells of the main phase is 0.276nm<3> or more. |
