PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of preventing a discharge product material from being directly brought into contact with the surface of a photoreceptor and preventing the deterioration of the photoreceptor without wastefully consuming a toner with a relatively simple structure. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is provided with a corona electrifier 2 uniformly electrifying the surface of a photoreceptor 1, a means (r) forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 1, a developing device 3 revealing the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 1 with a toner, a cleaning device 5 removing the toner remaining on the photoreceptor 1 after the transfer process, and a means controlling a photoreceptor driving device and the cleaning device 5 so that the waste toner recovered in the cleaning device 5 is stuck in a prescribed range on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 when a series of image forming actions are completed and the region of the photoreceptor 1 where the waste toner is stuck is stopped at the position facing the corona electrifying device 2. The surface of the photoreceptor 1 facing the corona electrifying device 2 is covered with a waste toner layer, thus a discharge product material can be prevented from being directly stuck to the surface of the photoreceptor 1. |
