Self adhesive envelope

The self adhesive envelope has a closing flap (2) and a bottom flap (3), one of which has a zone coated with either a self adhesive (5) or a substance (7) which does not react with the adhesive. Either the closing flap or the bottom flap have a foldable part (4) having a zone coated with the inert substance. This foldable part is folded onto the other flap so that the inert zone covers and protects the adhesive zone as long as the envelope is not closed. The inert substance zone (7) is constituted by a face with a band (6) stuck onto the respective flap. The face of the band material is treated to make it inert with respect to the adhesive. The bottom flap has a folded end part which has the zone coated with the self adhesive substance (5). A zone of the bottom flap, immediately underlying this folded adhesive flap is provided with the inert band. Enables the envelope to be left unfastened for a long time.
