PURPOSE:To miniaturize and simply constitute the optical exchange switch even when the number of accommodated channels is increased. CONSTITUTION:N pieces of optical signals from incoming lines #1-#N are guided to an input part 11, which is composed of the N pieces of fibers, and inputted to a front stage shutter part 12. The front stage shutter part 12 converts the wavelengths of respective optical signals to respectively different wavelengths, controls the pass/cut of the optical signals with these wavelengths and passes any arbitrary optical signals among the N pieces of optical signals. A joining/ branching part 13 joins the respective optical signals outputted from the front stage shutter part 12, turns them to a wavelength multiplexed optical signal and branches the joined optical signal to N pieces of outgoing lines. A rear stage shutter part 14 extracts the optical signals of the prescribed wavelengths from the N pieces of respective branched and inputted optical signals, inputs those signals to an output part provided with the N pieces of fibers, guides the optical signals of the prescribed wavelengths through the respective fibers to outgoing lines #1-#N and performs the spatial switching of optical signals. |
