<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous setting of an amount of indent by providing an indent amount memory means which stores selectively plural indent amount set during production of documents and a means which indicates the action and its release of the indent. CONSTITUTION:The characters of a desired sentence are supplied with the operation of a character input key of a keyboard device 1 and then stored in a sentence buffer 41 of an RAM4. A space character of a prescribed amount is fed to obtain an indent amount of a sentence B to be indented following a sentence A. Then an indent key 13 is operated, and therefore the indent amount is stored in an indent buffer 42 of the RAM4. The position indicated by the key 13 is set at the head of a line with input of the sentence B, and a sentence starts at this head position. When an indent release key 14 is operated at a position b2, a sentence C having no indent is printed. Then the key 13 is operated after a function key 15 to read the indent amount out of the buffer 42. Then a sentence D is printed with indent of the same amount.</p> |
