PURPOSE:To reduce a load on a file controller and to avoid deterioration in performance of said controller by adding an abnormality occurrence signal controlling circuit to each file storage device and transferring abnormality occurrence signals between storage devices. CONSTITUTION:A file controller 1 transfers data to the file storage devices 2 and 3 via a signal line 41 with an instruction given from a host device. The devices 2 and 3 stores received data when a writing instruction is received from the controller 1 and then transmits those data with a reading instruction. If the device 2 has data abnormality, the device 2 sends an abnormality occurrence signal to a signal line 42 via an abnormality occurrence signal controlling circuit 51. When the device 3 detects the occurrence of abnormality via an abnormality occurrence signal controlling circuit 52, the device 3 sends its own stored data to the memory 2 in a procedure equivalent to that of the controller 1 before the line 41 is not occupied by the controller 1. The device 2 stored the received data as second storage data. |
