PURPOSE:To make it possible to protect the outside view of a staircase from being damaged by installing a plurality of long bar-shaped grooves in a row on the top of a tread at its tip and fixedly housing the lower half of a cross section-disk shaped nonslip member in the grooves. CONSTITUTION:Two cross section-semicircular long bar-shaped grooves 11 are lined up in the lateral direction of a tread 1 on the top of the tip of the tread 1 formed with a wooden board. A lower half of antislip member 3, which is made of rubber formed in the shape of semicircular string in cross section in the grooves 1 and surface-textured, is fixedly housed in the grooves. As a result, the upper half of the antislip member 3 is projected, which forms an uneven area on the top of the tread 1. This construction makes it possible to prevent a slip from a staircase and maintain the outside view since it is less attractive. |
