<p>PURPOSE: To minimize scooping force of the bottom wall of a putter head by providing the bottom wall with predetermined recesses close to the heel and toe, respectively, the recesses being made apart from the front side to the rear at any positions, and forming at one of the recesses a circular arc-shaped curved peripheral rim substantially in a convex shape toward the toe. CONSTITUTION: A ridge 60 and two dish-shaped shallow recesses 162, 164 are formed in the intermediate part of a bottom wall. The recess 162 is formed between the ridge 60 and a toe 32, while the recess 164 is formed between the ridge 60 and a heel 30, respectively, such that the former is closer to the toe 32 and the latter to the heel 30. These recesses 162, 164 are formed at positions where substantially reflected images are formed relative to a vertical plane bisecting the ridge 60 in the direction from the toe 32 toward the heel 30. Respective recesses 162, 164 form edge parts 162e, 164e curved upward as viewed from the backward of a head.</p> |
