PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from being splashed without generating irregularity in an image. CONSTITUTION:A developing sleeve 22 is arranged on an aperture part of a developer case 20 for storing a developer and a magnet roller 21 is fixedly arranged on the inside of the sleeve 22. The roller 21 cornstitutes repulsive poles by two adjacent magnetic poles N3, N1 having the same polarity. The developer is carried on the surface of the sleeve 22, the sleeve 22 is rotated in the arrow P direction and the developer is stuck to an electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive drum 100 on a developing position (in the vicinity of a developing pole S2) to developer the latent image. In order to prevent the developer from being splashed from a gap between the sleeve 22 and the cover 26, an electrode is arranged between the developing position and the upstream side repulsive pole and voltage having the same polarity as the developer is impressed to the electrode. Consequently the splash of the developer can be prevented without generating irregularity in an image. |
