PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for storing discriminable images in the storage space of a transaction card with limited size. CONSTITUTION: In this image storage method, the image to be stored is transformed to the expression of pixels. The expression of pixels is divided into plural image parts put in order. The respective image parts are compared with a set of reference pixel groups, and a signal group is related to each pixel group. The signal group related to the pixel group most approximately related to the image part of pixels is selected for each image part. The signal group is stored in a physical pattern inside the storage area of the transaction card, the physical pattern is read out and converted into an electric signal, and the signal group is identified. The reference pixel group is discrimated from the signal group, the reference pixel group is arranged at the same position as the image part with respect to the image. By utilizing this method, recognizable images can be composed of image information suitable for ISO 7811/2 standards. |
