PURPOSE:To provide a map enlarged or contracted in scale for a part of a map of standard scale and display definitely the selectivity of a map enlarged or contracted in scale for an operator by providing a high-speed sensor, a direction sensor, a memory means, a display means, and a control means as well as an operating switch. CONSTITUTION:A MPU101 makes overall operational control. An operation switch 103 interfaces with the MPU101 by the operation of an operation, and accepts the selection of a map number and a scale. Also a switch 204 indicates an enlarged map, and informs the operators of the selectivity of the map by lighting. When a vehicle enters a predetermined area while map data is displayed on a display means, the operator is informed 204 of the acceptability of instructions 101 and 204 to enlarge the map. Then, when a request 103 for scale selection is given, the display on the display means is changed over to the map data enlarged or contracted in scale. By this, the operator can know 204 definitely the preparation of the map data enlarged or contracted in scale, and switch over 101 and 109 a screen promptly. |
