Implantable biomechanical heart with dynamic development, capable of functioning under the contractions of a skeletal motor muscle driven for this purpose, characterised in that it comprises a pumping chamber (1) designed so as to be covered by the said muscle and opening out (4) onto a propulsion volume (21) having an inflatable wall (11), the said propulsion volume (21) constituting a part of a flushing chamber (2), the other part of which constitutes a flushing volume (20) having a tubular upstream inlet channel (5) and a tubular downstream discharge channel (6), each of which are equipped with a respective non-return valve (7) and (8), the flushing volume (20) and its tubular channels being capable of being mounted in the circulatory system, on the upstream side on an auricula (9) and, on the downstream side, on an artery (10), a myostimulator (pacemaker) (12) being connected to two electrodes (15+) and (16-) which can be connected to the said motor muscle in order to drive the said motor muscle (3) and operate the said biomechanical heart. <IMAGE> |
