Pharmaceutical compositions in the form of mixed, frozen, or lyophilised micelles which are a homogeneous supersaturated dispersion of a taxoid, esp. of formula (I), in a mixture of one or more phospholipids and one or more biliary salts, are new. R1, R2 = both H, or one is H and the other is OH, acyloxy, or acyl carbonyloxy; one of R3, R4 = H and the other = OH, or R3+R4 = carbonyl; R5, R6 = both H or one is H and the other is OH, acyloxy, acyl-carbonyloxy, or alkoxy methyl carbonyloxy, or R5+R6 = carbonyl; R7 = alkoxy, alkenyloxy, cycloalkoxy, or phenyl; Ar = phenyl opt. substd. by one or more of halogens, alkyl, alkoxy, dialkylamino, acylamino, alkoxy carbonyl amino, or CF3, or 5-membered aromatic heterocycle with 1 or more hetero atoms which are O, N, or S, such that alkyl and alkenyl groups have up to 8C atoms. |
