A magnetic head is coated with a solution of a salt of a perfluoropolyether with a carboxylic acid amine as shown in chemical formula 1 in an organic solvent. Chemical formula 1 Rf-COO<->HN<+>R1R2 R3 or R1R2R3N<+>HO<-> CO-Rf-COO<->HN<+>R1R2 R3 where symbol Rf depicts perfluoropolyether group and symbols R1, R2 and R3 depict hydrogen or hydrocarbon, at least one of which depicts hydrocarbon having long chain of ten carbon atoms or greater.
