The invention relates to a guide for the production of continuously cast metal in the form of slabs, cogs and billets. The guide ensures that the cast metal runs centrally in the guide system, the result being a high level of casting reliability even at casting rates of up to 6 m/min. This high level of casting reliability is achieved by giving the rollers a slightly concave surface line (cambering of the casting), which results in the unexpected elimination of the "snaking" in the cast metal towards the small sides, thereby also ensuring that the casting runs along the central axis in its direction of travel.
