The system includes a number of devices known as application units each consisting of microprocessors (uC) and integrated circuits (IC) connected by the bus (I2C) which are connected to the vehicle area network (VAN) through interface circuits (BAM). The interface circuits each have an element of transmission (TR) and an element of management (IC). The transmission element (TR) assures the transmission and reception of data blocks on the vehicle area network (VAN) and detects errors using redundancy. The management element (IC) understands the blocks of data on the I2C applications bus and carries out tasks such translation to vehicle area network blocks.
