<p>PURPOSE:To enable advanced treatment of drainage containing organic substances which are hardly decomposed biologically such as dye by a method in which drainage containing the organic substances is mixed With hydrogen peroxide, the mixture is passed through a filter bed, a part of drainage treated by aeration is mixed with a mixed liquid, and the mixture is passed through a filter medium. CONSTITUTION:Drainage containing organic substances which are hardly decomposed biologically such as dye discharged from a dyeing factory and food factory is stored in a raw water tank 1. Drainage in the tank 1 is fed to the bottom of a decomposition tank 3 by a pump P1. Hydrogen peroxide is mixed into the drainage, as required, from a hydrogen peroxide tank 10 by a pump P2. The mixture of raw water and hydrogen peroxide is sent from the bottom of the decomposition tank 3 to a filter bed 2 composed of biologically active carbon. Treated water passed through the filter bed 2 overflows at the upper end of the decomposition tank 3 and is sent to an aeration tank 4, in which the water is mixed with the raw water. The organic substances are removed adequately from the treated water collected in the aeration tank 4.</p> |
