PURPOSE:To prevent a retention zone of soil from arising and keep the stability of functions and improve the capacity, by arranging adjacent cutter heads to form an arc shape by shifting the heads back and forth and providing a discharging mechanism of the excavated soil at the rear side. CONSTITUTION:Adjacent cutter heads are alternately shifted back and forth to arrange them to form an arc shape, at the front face of an excavating machine body 11. A plurality of jet nozzles 22 ejecting high pressure water are provided at the rear side of cutter head 13 as a soil discharge mechanism 21 in a chamber 15 of the excavating machine body 11 and connected to a water feed pump 24 through water feed pipes 25. A screw convayor 17 is installed under the excavating machine body 11. The excavated soil 30 apt to stay at the top of cutter head is washed down on the screw conveyor 17 by means of the high pressure water from respective jet nozzles 22 and hence, retention zones are not generated. And the excavated soil 30 retained in the rear side of cutter head 13 during the excavation work is scraped out by the rotation of a soil discharging plate and delivered to the screw conveyor 17. |
