PURPOSE:To make an answer message of the multimedia communication exercise a function equal to that of an answer message of a normal automatic answering telephone while suppressing the increase of the storage capacity needed for simultaneously handling the animation information. CONSTITUTION:The calls incoming in an automatic answering telephone mode are automatically received by the control of a system control part 15. Meanwhile the voice answer message stored previously at a storage part 18 is transmitted. Thus an automatic answering telephone mode is notified to the opposite party side. Then the voice and video information received from the opposite party side are stored at the part 18. At the same time, the answer message received in the automatic answering telephone mode is coded and stored at the part 18 synchronously with the voice and video information by the control of the part 15. |
