PURPOSE:To improve an output of wavelength converted waves and improve long-term reliability in a solid state laser comprising a solid state laser crystal, a pumping source for pumping it, a resonator, an etalon placed in the resonator for selecting oscillation wavelength and a non-linear optical crystal placed in the resonator for converting wavelength of a solid state laser beam. CONSTITUTION:In a resonator comprising a Nd:YAG crystal 13, a solid state laser crystal, and a resonator mirror 14, a wedge-like optical member 17 is placed with both end faces 17a, 17b which are not parallel to each other as light passing faces, and the optical member 17 is fixed at an appropriate position, whereby a resonator mode is set to such a mode that the maximum output of a solid state laser beam 25 can be obtained with respect to a resonator temperature in the vicinity of a temperature where maximum wavelength conversion efficiency of a non-linear optical crystal (KN crystal) 15 is obtained. |
