PURPOSE:To sufficiently shield recording and reproducing light by providing a foaming or porous layer with a prescribed thickness on the surface of the side opposite to the incident side of the recording and reproducing light. CONSTITUTION:This optical card-shape recording medium is constituted in such a way that a pre-format 15 is formed on the surface of the opposite side of a substrate 1 in which a hard coating layer 6 is provided on the surface of the incident side of the recording and reproducing light, and an optical recording layer 2 is provided on the pre-format 15 of the substrate 1, and furthermore, a protective substrate 4' is stacked on the layer 2 via a bonding layer 3. The foaming or porous layer 5 with thickness of 10 to 150mum is provided on the surface of the protective substrate 4' on the side opposite to the incident side of the recording and reproducing light via a bonding layer 14, and the moisture permeable quantity of a multi-functional layer 16 formed with the foaming or porous layer 5 and the bonding layer 14 is set equal to that of the hard coating layer 6. The high molecular foaming and porous layer 5 on the protective substrate 4 can sufficiently shield the recording and reproducing light. |
