PURPOSE:To provide a data processing method/device which excels in the editing operability. CONSTITUTION:When a user designates an editing frame, an editing mode following the editing frame is automatically set in the editing mode against the relevant frame. Thus the user carries out the editing in the editing mode. When the user designates first an editing frame 2000, an editing mode 2002 is automatically set in a 'sentence mode' (editing mode) of the area of the designated frame (a). When the user selects next an editing frame 2001, the editing mode is automatically set in a 'graphic mode' 2003, i.e., the editing mode of the area of the designated frame (b). |
