PURPOSE: To provide a method for reinforcing the resolution of a bit map, and for designing a template for conversion. CONSTITUTION: A first resolution picture is generated from a training document, and stored in a first bit map memory, and a second resolution picture is generated from the training document, and stored in a second bit map memory. An input template window for allowing the first bit map memory to pass is limited, and an output pattern window for allowing the second bit map memory to pass is also limited. Then, the position of the output window in the second bit map memory is set as a function of the position of the input template window in the first bit map memory. The occurrence of pixel combination appearing in the input template window and the corresponding occurrence of pixel combination appearing in the output pattern window are stored in a data base memory, and a template pair constituting a template base filter is derived from the data base memory. |
