PURPOSE:To automatically set the formats against the second and subsequent headers of the same level just by inputting these headers in a usual manner so far as the format information is previously set corresponding to the first header in the case where the headers of the same level are repetitively inputted. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 collates the supplied document data with the contents of a header pattern memory 2-3. When the supplied document data is identical with a header document corresponding to a header pattern, the CPU 1 decides whether another header document of the same pattern is already supplied to a text memory 3-2. If supplied, the CPU 1 calls the format information corresponding to the document out of the memory 3-2 and copies this information at the position corresponding to the header document that is supplied to the memory 3-2 this time. |
