PURPOSE:To simplify the graphic processing of a polygon including speed in reference to a method/device that divides a polygon including a polygonal blanking area. CONSTITUTION:One of positions close to an original point is selected out of the data on an inside polygon where a blanking area is formed (10), and a vertical line which defines a point crossing an outside polygon or another inside polygon as its end point is produced at a point close to the original pointare generated via the vertical line, and the similar verticallines are successively produced for the inside polygons forproduction of data on the new continuous polygons (12).Meanwhile a vertical line which defines a point crossing theoutside polygon as its end point is produced in the direction opposite to thefirst vertical line and at a point far from the original pointagainst the data on the inside polygon where a vertical lineis produced (13). Thus the data on a new polygon are dividedby the new vertical line (14). |
