PURPOSE:To prevent a toner cartridge from being rotated along with an agitating member in accordance with the rotation of the agitating member when it is in using by providing a locking means for preventing a cylinder from being rotated in an agitating member rotating direction. CONSTITUTION:When the toner cartridge C inserted in a cartridge inserting part 5e is rotated in an inserting direction, flange projections 13a1 and 14a1 for closing a shutter are engaged with a shutter member 20, and then, the cartridge C and the shutter member 20 are rotated together. This rotation is controlled when flange projections 13a2 and 14a2 abut on a stepped part 27 installed on the cartridge inserting part 5e. At this time, the opening parts of a toner replenishing container 12 and the shutter member 20 face in a nearly horizontal direction so as to communicate with the opening part of a developing device. When the toner replenishing container 12 is rotated up to a rotation control position in such a way, a movable lever is elastically deformed, and a locking projection gets over the end part of a calyx part 25 installed on the cartridge inserting part 5e, then, it is automatically engaged with the end part so as to lock the cylinder. |
