The appts. includes an electric motor (7) associated with each valve (1) or swivel drive (2) which is combined with its hydraulic pump (8) and circuit in a compact unit (A,B, etc.). The only external connection to each unit from a central control desk (13) is a three-core cable (14) conveying 220 V AC to the motor. The pump is supplied with fluid from a reservoir (11) via two pressure-limiting valves (10) which can be adjusted for the pressure setting corresp. to the desired limit of lifting power, with provision for different pressures in forward and reverse rotation.
