The invention concerns liposomes which contain proteins, preferably interferons, encapsulated in them as active substances, the liposomes consisting of phosphatidyl choline, cholesterol, phosphatidyl glycerol and alpha -tocopherol in the ratio 8-4 to 5-3 to 1.5-0.5 to 0.01-0. The invention also concerns methods of preparing such liposomes and pharmaceutical and cosmetic preparations containing them.
