Circular grinding machine

The grinding machine comprises a workpiece holder, grinding unit with abrasive band (12), pressing element (16) and movement controls. The pressing element is in the form of a support shoe. There is a friction reduction device (27) between the support surface and the abrasive band. A transporting belt runs between the surface of the support shoe and the reverse side of the abrasive band. The transporting belt is led over a drive roller (28). It has a separate drive. A jet device in the shoe creates a hydrodynamic lubricating film between the transporting band and the shoe.
