The connection box has a connection chamber arranged on the cable entry side in the lower part of the connection box, and on the cable outgoing side a consumer chamber (21) is formed. A cover is provided covering the connection chamber, also a further cover (25), which acts as the primary cover separating the consumer and connection chambers, and as a secondary cover in the consumer chamber, at least covering the cable terminals there. The further cover (25) has two cover elements (35,36), which essentially form a right angle. With the primary covering, one cover element (35), separates off the consumer chamber (21) from the connection chamber (20). Also with the secondary covering, this one cover element covers the terminal connections (14-16) in the consumer chamber (21). The other cover element (36), at least covers the terminal connections (14-16) assigned to the fuse base parts (11-13), separating off from the region of the consumer chamber (21) assigned to the cable outlet (8).
