PURPOSE: To provide a device capable of continuing an operation without the entanglement of threads without stopping a sewing machine even when a workpice is not present at the start and end of the work, in a two-needle sewing machine for forming an ornamental stitch without a over stitch. CONSTITUTION: At least one medium lug 17 is arranged in side by side relation with respect to an upper thread pull-out device 13 engaged to a needle bar 7. When the workpiece on a throat plate 8 is not present, the medium lug is brought to a work position for pressing one 4a of needle threads coming out from an auxiliary thread pull-out device 12 which is a part of a supply unit for the needle threads, shifts the needle thread 4a to the side, strands the chain of the two needle threads and one bobbin thread to be in a string shape and hooks it to a feed dog. |
