PURPOSE:To provide a laser beam machine with such method for changing machining condition that is capable of making a machined section beautiful without penetration. CONSTITUTION:While a machining speed is reduced toward a corner point P5, machining conditions such as laser power, frequency, duty, kind of assist gas, gaseous pressure, etc., are maintained on the conditions before the speed reduction; and while the machining speed is kept zero at the corner point P5 for the preset dwell time T3 of a corner part, the machining conditions are changed over to those of corner machining time. At the time of increasing the speed, changeover is made to the machining conditions and machining speed before the reduction, for each changeover time that is computed respectively from a preset distance for changing the machining conditions, distance for changing the machining speed, and speed specified in a machining program; and the machining conditions at the corner part are thereby set for the optimum, forming an accurate edge. |
