INSPECTION OF DYNAMIC LIQUID LEVEL AND FOAM FOR QUALITY CONTROL AND PROCESS CONTROL

PURPOSE: To provide an image acquisition and treatment process effectively used to measure dynamic and transient phenomena. CONSTITUTION: The image of a container 202 filled with liquid is picked up (213, 214) and the gray level of the image is modulated to separate liquid from bubble. Non-modulated image treatment can be performed without wasting a great time. Image pixels to the bubble or the liquid along a vertical line or a horizontal line in the image are counted to detect a liquid level and the quantity of bubble. In the meantime when the liquid and the bubble are in a dynamic condition, the rate of change of the liquid level and the quantity of bubble with a time indicates leakage in the container. The inspection of a transient phenomenon in the dynamic condition indicates the final quality and quantity of product in the container.
