PURPOSE:To provide an exhaust device for an outboard motor engine in which deterioration of a catalyst due to penetration of water can be surely prevented while reduction in engine output is avoided. CONSTITUTION:In construction of an exhaust device provided with an exhaust passage which extends in the vertical direction of an outboard motor engine, in which a crank shaft 13 is vertically arranged, and opens downward, a closed space A and a folded part 23, which once extends upward from the closed space A and bends downward, are arranged in the middle of the exhaust passage, while a catalyst 40 is arranged inside the closed space A. The closed space A is constructed of a bag-shaped cover body 21 connected and fixed on the lower face of an exhaust guide 20. The folded part 23 is constructed of a high riser 24 connected to the upper face of the exhaust guide 20 and a return pipe 25 extending downward from the high riser 24 along the outside of the cover body 21. |
