The catheter has a metal tip (a) at its distal end to make it visible on an echograph and has three outlets (b) for a sclerosing product just before the tip, while its proximal end has a connector (c) for attaching to a syringe. The three outlets (b) have different axes, situated at 120 degrees to one another. The catheter is supplied in a thin tubular sterile pack (d) which is closed at its proximal end and has a hollow plastics tip at its distal end for connecting to a trocar (e). The trocar serves to introduce the catheter into a vein, its inner diameter is greater than the outer diameter of the catheter, and it has a sharpened tip, cut at an angle, on its distal end and a connector for a syringe or the tubular pack at its proximal end.
