PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the characteristic such as reflectivity and contrast even under high-temp. and high-humidity conditions by specifying the content of a low-mol.wt. component in a substrate. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium is provided with a recording layer contg. an org. dyestuff on a resin substrate, and the content of the low- mol.wt. component in the substrate is controlled to be <1wt.%. The polycarbonate resin is purified by mixing a soln. of the resin in a solvent A and a sofvent B and reprecipitating the resin. In this case, a solvent with the difference in solubility parameter from the solvent A controlled to 1 to 6 is used as the solvent B. |
