PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform satisfactory cleaning not to remain any cleaning liquid by performing the cleaning by attaching the cleaning liquid to either of first and second cleaning brushes. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning liquid is attached to either one of cleaning brushes 37 and 38 fitted to a cleaning head 25 provided at the head of the operating rod of a cleaning cartridge. Next, the cleaning is performed by selectively bringing the brushes 37 and 38 into sliding-contact with an objective lens 17 of an optical disk device while turning the head 25. Thus, since the cleaning liquid attached to the lens 17 is swept off by the other brush with no cleaning liquid, no cleaning liquid is remained on the lens 17 after cleaning, and satisfactory cleaning becomes possible. In this case, it is preferable to compose one brush to attach the cleaning liquid of a hygroscopic fiber material and to compose the other brush from a hard fiber material among the brushes 37 and 38. |
