<p>PURPOSE:To construct an information processor in which the preserving/ recovering processing and the display processing of the video RAM of a personal computer capable of supporting a resume function are made common, and in addition, the protection of a user picture considering security at the time of inputting a pass word is attained. CONSTITUTION:A display screen is initialized at a fixed mode by executing the initialization of a register intrinsic to a display adapter 16 at the time of the reinputting of power supply, and the contents of the video RAM 14 are preserved, and the area of the video RAM 14 to be used for displaying a message is secured, and the video RAM 14 is cleared, and the message is displayed, and the user picture is displayed by recovering the video RAM 14 and the register of the display adapter 16 having been used for displaying the message from a BIOS work RAM 13.</p> |
