PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency and maintenance workability by constructing a shroud of at least plural members including a head corresponding member covering a cylinder head from its front side and fastening the head corresponding member on the cylinder head while setting its fastening direction along the axial line of the cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:In a shroud 36, the first member 37 covering a cylinder head 26 and a cylinder block 27 from the front side and the second member 38 covering the rest parts are connected together. The first member 37 is fastened in the cylinder head 26 by means of plural mounting bolts 41. Therefore, the clearance between the cylinder head 26 and the shroud 36 can be strictly set, while the clearance between the shroud 36 and the cylinder head 26 can be easily narrowed so that a flow resistance larger than the flow resistance when cooling air flows between fins 39 in the cylinder head 26 is generated, and consequently, flow of the cooling wind is prevented as much as possible, and as a result, cooling efficiency is increased, while workability for engine maintenance can be improved. |
