Short length dipole aerial with base in form of enclosed housing

A short dipole aerial (or whip antenna) includes an aerial base formed in a sealed housing containing matching and amplifier circuitry, and is designed to be suitable for broadcast radio reception as well as for mobile (CB) radio reception without this double function being noticeable. To achieve this the antenna base (1) additionally includes a frequency separating filter (11) enabling the use of the dipole aerial as a transmitting and receiving aerial for mobile (CB) radio, radio telephone, etc.
