Monitoring equipment for motor-driven hinging door

The equipment comprises a sensor strip (2) at the top edge of the door leaf (4) which emits rays in a cone towards the ground. The strip has a sensor (1) at the side of the leaf furthest from the hinge. This is inclined to the horizontal, producing a cone of rays (8) covering the main closing edge (3) of the leaf. Activity of this sensor is controlled, it being typically switched off before the leaf reaches the frame (9) on shutting. Control can be by an adjustable time-delay, or there can be an emitter at the hinge side of the leaf, or in the its drive mechanism.
