PURPOSE:To provide thermal recording material excellent in dynamic color forming sensitivity and finenss and also excellent in the light fastness of a developed image and a background. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal color forming layer consisting of at least a leuco dye and a coupler is provided on a support, the leuco dye has a vol. average particle size of 0.3mum or less and an ultraviolet absorber is added to the thermal color forming layer.
