<p>PURPOSE:To produce a sliding material excellent in corrosion resistance and wear resistance by specifying the composition and Vickers hardness of a sintered copper alloy layer at the time of providing the sintered copper alloy layer onto one side of a backing copper plate. CONSTITUTION:The sliding material is produced by forming a sintered copper alloy layer on one side of a backing copper plate or a copper-plated backing steel plate. At this time, this sintered copper alloy layer has a composition consisting of, by weight, 4-20% Sn, 1-10% Ni, 0.05-1% B, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities and practically free from P and also has >=100 Vickers hardness. By this method, the sliding material, excellent in wear resistance as well as in corrosion resistance under severe boundary lubrication, can be obtained.</p> |
