PURPOSE:To perform decision of collision with high responsiveness to even various collision forms and beside with high reliability. CONSTITUTION:A control device for a safety device for a vehicle comprises a means 6 to calculate a first evaluation value F1 related to the speed change of a vehicle based on an acceleration signal; a means 7 to calculate a second evaluation value F2 related to a displacement amount of a passenger based on an acceleration signal; and a means 8 to effect a square of the acceleration signal and calculated a third evaluation F3 related to the magnitude of collision energy based on a value obtained resultant from the square thereof. A first or a third evaluation value is integratedly considered by a deciding part 10 to decide whether a safety device is started. |
