PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing fiber having excellent washing durability and good feeling by coating the surface of a fiber with a porous deodorizing catalyst composed of a specific oxide and having micro-pores using a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The deodorizing agent (deodorizing catalyst) to be used in this deodorizing fiber is a porous deodorizing catalyst consisting of a mixture and/or compound of one or more kinds of oxides selected from among iron oxide, SiO2, Al2O3, Nip, CO3O4, MnO2, CuO, CeO2, Pt0, Zn0 and Pd0, especially oxide of SiO2.Zn0.Al2O3 and having a bulk specific gravity of 0.1-1.5g/cm<2> and particle diameter of 1-200mum. This semipermanently usable deodorizing fiber having excellent deodorizing effect and high washing durability can be produced by coating the surface of various fibers with the porous deodorizing agent using an acrylic or urethane resin binder. |
