摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an Li secondary battery which is restrained from self- discharging by using composite oxides of Li and Ni as positive active material, and using the Li and Ni composite oxides in an agglomerated secondary-particle form in which their primary particles are agglomerated. CONSTITUTION:Ni(OH)2 and LiOH.H2O are mixed equimolally and sintered in an oxygen atmosphere at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time to obtain secondary particles of LiNiO2. 90 parts by weight of secondary particles of LiNiO2, 70 parts by weight of graphite, and 3 parts by weight of a fluoropolymeric binder, for example, are mixed using DMF as a solvent, and the DMF is completely volatilized to obtain particles composed chiefly of LiNiO2 for a positive electrode. A cylindrical positive electrode is formed from the particles. Metal Li punched into a similar disc shape to that of the positive electrode is prepared as a negative electrode, the amount of Li being several hundred times as large as that required for the maximum charging ability of the positive electrode. A porous polypropylene film is prepared as a separator, and propylene carbonate mixed with lithium phosphate hexafluoride is used as an electrolyte.
