<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the quantity of emitted electron beam from becoming unstable and prevent the quantity of the emitted electron beam from decreasing by installing an electron drawing out electrode to apply an electric field to the tip of a slightly projected part and to draw out electrons and also installing a cold cathode heating heater. CONSTITUTION:An electron drawing out electrode 6 is set like a matrix, electrons are drawn out by applying an electric field to the tip of a slightly projected part 7, and the electrons drawn out by the electrode 6 are accelerated by an accelerating electrode. A cold cathode heating heater 13 has a structure with which a cold cathode 5 can be heated by direct heating by connecting a heater electric power source 44 with a lead terminal 40 of the heater 13. Consequently, the heater 13 heats the tip of the part 7 to a temperature range from 100 deg.C to 500 deg.C in order to prevent gas molecules separated from a fluorescent plane from being adsorbed again in the tip of the part 7 at the time of operation of a cathode-ray tube. At that time, the adsorbed gas molecules are surely and efficiently prevented from affecting the cathode-ray tube by controlling the temperature of the part 7 by a temperature controlling means 105.</p> |
