PURPOSE:To provide a system which is capable of immediately providing a pictorial image on receiving a request from a subscriber and distributing a single video source to many subscribers by a simple control by the use of system providing the pictorial image by utilizing an ISDN network. CONSTITUTION:A wide band ISDN network is connected with a pictorial image providing device 2 providing prescribed video sources to plural subscribers' terminals 1. The pictorial image providing device 2 is provided with a primary file 3 storing video sources, plural secondary files 5 temporarily storing video sources, a copying means 4 writing the video sources of the primary file 3 in the secondary files 5, a reading means 6 which is provided for every secondary file 5 and reads the video sources written in the secondary file 5, a transmission means 7 connecting the output line 8 the reading means 6 with the subscriber's side line 9 connected with the subscribers' terminals 1 and transmitting the video sources to the subscribers' terminals 1 and a state control means 10 controlling the operation state of each part. |
