<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-efficiency transfer rate by using a toner comprising a binder resin, coloring agent and external additives and treating the toner base particles after being kneaded and pulverized for surface modification with hot air in a dispersed state to obtain spherical toner particles. CONSTITUTION:This toner is used for an electrophotographic device having the following constitution. An electrostatic latent image formed on a photosensitive body is visualized as a toner image, which is once transferred to an intermediate transfer medium in contact with the photosensitive body. The toner image on the intermediate transfer medium is finally transferred to a transfer paper sheet supplied from a paper feed side, and then the toner image is fixed. The toner consists of at least a binder resin 201, coloring agent 202, and external additives 205. The toner base particles at least after being kneaded and pulverized are treated to make spherical particles. The treatment to make spherical particles is done by surface modification treatment of the particles in a dispersed state with hot air. The surface modification is done with a surface modifying device equipped with a dispersing means to spray and disperse the toner base particles and a hot air generating means to blow the toner base particles sprayed from the dispersing means with hot air.</p> |
